Energy costs in Connecticut are among the highest in the nation. Fortunately, numerous programs exist to help utility customers of all types lower their energy costs, including small businesses. Operation Fuel, Inc. offers education and financial assistance to small businesses interested in lowering their energy costs. Learn about options for becoming more energy efficient and grants and other resources available for making energy efficiency upgrades. Operation Fuel’s Small Business Advocate will be available to explain how to participate in Project BEST and how to access other available programs. Operation Fuel has provided emergency energy assistance to households in need for almost four decades. Through partnerships with the State of Connecticut, the utility companies and a network of more than 100 fuel banks, Operation Fuel assisted more than 8,200 households in the 2012/13 fiscal year.
